Curemonte | Things to See and Do in Curemonte
Curemonte is in the southern Correze quite close to the Lot and the Dordogne departments, it stretches out along a ridge overlooking the Sourdoire and Maumont valleys and commands stunning views across the valleys.
Curemonte is designated as one of the Les plus beaux villages de France and is mentioned in the French Historic Monuments List. The village has three chateaux, a 16th century church and several noble houses of historic significance.
Things to See and Do in Curemonte
Chateau de Saint-Hilaire dating from the 14th century has square towers.
Chateau de la Johannie dates from the 15th century and stands next to the market hall.
Chateau de Plas dating from the 16th century has round towers.
Curemonte also has a church originally dating from the 12th century.
