Loubressac is perched on a promontory that offers stunning views of the Dordogne valley and the surrounding Chateaux.
The village is a designated “Les plus beaux villages de France” a beautiful village of France and also a Village Flueri which recognises its yearly floral displays.
The church of Saint Jean Baptiste and the Château de Loubressac, a manor dating back to the 15C and 18C, are worth the short climb it takes to reach them.
The village itself has a Chateau and a 12th century fortified church that was modified in the 16th century In the village centre there are a number of lovely medieval buildings made of the local white-honey coloured stone.
